RILEY DOYLE is a 23-year-old queer artist who loves to create colorful works filled to the brim with emotion! They are most passionate about creating comics, both autobiographical and fictional. Many consist of short poem-like reflections on life, while others are lighthearted and silly, capturing a range of sentiments. A core tenant of her work is to evoke strong feelings and connect to the viewer or reader – in comics or otherwise! Be it in single illustrations, toy and packaging designs, or a tiny doodle – it’s always about that spark in someone’s chest.
While primarily a raster based digital illustrator, other forms of art that Riley enjoys include 3D modeling, drawing with Posca paint pens, creating zines, linoleum printmaking , 2D animation, and more!
Riley is also passionate about learning and activism and is happy to discuss and educate others on mental health, neurodivergency, queerness, politics, and more! The world is fascinating, and there’s nothing better than asking questions and talking with others to come to new understandings. Riley’s vibrant and emotive work stems from empathy and curiosity, which has only helped her work connect with their peers.
Outside of the many late nights spent creating art, Riley loves spending time with friends and family, fluffy blankets, collecting stuffed animals, dragons, playing Nintendo games, and finding the nearest animal to pet.
